Yvonne “Pig” Jordan departed this earthly life and entered into eternal life on January 24, 2021. Yvonne was a native of Norfolk, VA and the daughter of the late Alec Brown, Sr. and Louise Brown-Hunter. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl H. Jordan; her son, LaShawn “Pee Wee” Brown and her brother James Brown.
Yvonne graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk, VA. She worked as a Dietician’s Aide at Pineville Assistant Living where she had perfect attendance.
“Pig”, as she was affectionately known as by her family and friends was devoted to her family.
She leaves her memories to be cherished by her daughter, Veronica Brown (Charlotte, NC); son, Christopher Brown (Norfolk, VA); 23 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; one sister, Florence Brown (Norfolk, VA) and five brothers, Alec Brown, Jr., Jerome Brown (Zena Brown), Tyrone Brown, Tony Brown (Terry Brown) and Keith Brown of Norfolk, VA and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
