Tajh Boyd was born on August 20, 2004 in Chesapeake, Virginia to Tanzania A. Belfield and Dawntay R. Boyd.
On August 5, 2023 the almighty God called him home.
He graduated from Oscar F. Smith High School in Chesapeake, Virginia as an honor student and a 3-star recruit. Affectionately known as “Big Baby” he was an exceptional offensive lineman that led the Tigers to two consecutive state championships. He was a second team all- region as a junior. He received over 10 D-1 scholarship offers, before so proudly accepting the offer with the Flames at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Tajh will be remembered as a young man of very few words, but his presence was definitely noticed. He was respectful, kind hearted, generous, loving, and spiritual and he had a smile that would light up a room.
His favorite hobbies were fashion, photography and astronomy.
Tajh “Big Baby” Boyd is loved throughout the community, a remarkable young man and he will be truly be missed.
Tajh was predeceased by his great grandmother’s Deborah Belfield and Roberta Brandon; grandfather, Rubin Lee Boyd, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents Tanzania Belfield and Dawntay Boyd, Sr.; one brother, Dawntay Boyd; grandmothers Monique Belfield and Michelle Boyd; grandfather, Kenneth Brandon (Monica); three aunts, Iesha Boyd-Jacobs, Brittany Boyd and Jamaarza Bryant; six uncles Tre’Shawn Belfield (Felecia), Rubin Boyd, Harold Boyd, Michael Boyd, Jeremiah Boyd and Christopher Boyd; two special cousins Tre’Shawn Belfield, Jr. and Trinity Belfield; a loving godfather, Raymond Morris, Jr.; a special personal trainer Michael Lambert; four best friends, Jamauri “Bam” Knox, Quan Alston, Shaun Alston and Dantey Menarl and other loving relatives and friends.
