Robert Lee Brown

Robert Lee Brown entered into eternal rest on June 29, 2023 at his home in Portsmouth Virginia.  Robert was born on June 11, 1961 to Archie and Ruby Brown.  He was the sixth of seven children.

Robert was born and raised in Portsmouth Virginia where he attended Portsmouth Public Schools.  He briefly resided in Greensboro North Carolina and Baltimore Maryland.  Robert was a General Labor by trade and also a jack of all trades, if it was broke Robert could fix it, if it needed to be built Robert could build it.  Robert was his family and friends go to guy for car repairs and house repairs including painting.  Robert enjoyed cooking, fishing, good music, playing chess, dominos and he was always down for a card game.  He will forever be our Grill Master.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife Audrey Brown, his parents Archie and Ruby Brown, two brothers Columbus Wilson and Randy Gaymon.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory one daughter Crystal Gorham, three grandsons (Gerald, Gerald “Baby Gerald” and Angel), one sister Regina Milligan (Thomas), four brothers: Roddy Gaymon (Minnie), Reginald Gaymon (Miriam), Randell Brown and Roderick “Boo” Brown, a host of nieces and nephews, a special companion Latoria Mitchell and many lifelong friends.
