On Friday, May 5, 2023, during the early hours of the morning, George Henry Savage transitioned to his heavenly home and is now safe in the arms of the Lord. George was born on December 4, 1942, in Suffolk, Virginia to the late Garfield and Ruby Savage. In his many experiences of life, he learned that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. He was a member of Centennial Christian Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. George retired from Planters Peanut Company, now Kraft Foods, with over 34 years of service. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Bettie M. Savage, three children: Donald B. Pittman, Wesley D. Pittman (Doris), and Janis P. Myrick, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Daisy Reid, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, and a host of relatives and friends. George will truly be missed by all, but we can rejoice in knowing that he has made it βhomeβ!
