October 12, 2020 at 7:19 amAunt Ell,
Many people don’t know, but you were very instrumental in ensuring that I know and understand the power of being connected to Christ. Philippians 3:10 reads, “That, I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.” When you began to take me with you to Enoch Baptist Church at the age of 16, you wanted to ensure that I knew how to present myself to receive God’s blessings. I will miss feeling like a local celebrity every time I see you. You would call Mary, George, Joy, Geneva, or anyone in your contacts to celebrate and boast about anything that I had accomplished. I will never stop replaying the excitement I would hear in your voice when told everyone how proud you were of me. Now it is time for you to rest easy and enjoy the family reunion in Heaven. Please ensure you keep Janice and Shirley on their best behaviors up there. Love you!
