Walter Reynolds Moore

On Wednesday, February 9, 2022, Walter R. (Lil Bay) Moore, 75, departed his earthly home and transitioned to his eternal resting place.  He was born on April 11, 1946 to the late Carlette and Mamie Moore.  A longtime resident of Portsmouth, Va. leaves to cherish two daughters; Wanda Boone (Raynell) of Portsmouth, VA and Lynn Seay of Falls Church, VA.  Four sisters Marnishia Moore of Silver Springs, Md., Aurelia Love of Norfolk, VA., Vernadette Reed (Gerald) of Manassas, VA., and Devon Moore of Fayetteville, NC: two brothers; Edward Gay (Jean) of Denver, Co., Richard Moore (Lucille)  and predeceased by his longtime girlfriend Gloria Williams, his brother Kenneth Moore and sisters, Gloria Moore and Sandra Johnson.

He was educated in the Portsmouth School System. Walter drove trucks during his career and he retired after 30 years of service a Temple Trucking Company.  Walter was a die-hard Redskins fan.  He enjoyed relaxing at home and watching TV and riding out with his ride or die sister WeeWee.  He left an imprint in many hearts and he will be truly missed.
