The Book of Life has ended for our loved one in this place, but God has taken him from a life of sorrow and pain to land of peace and joy. Verlon Andrew Romain entered into eternal rest with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 12, 2018. He was born on October 2, 1978 to Verlon Romain, Sr. and the late Mary Romain in Washington, D.C.
Affectionately known as Skino, Andrew began his education in the District of Columbia School System. He later moved to Virginia to live with family and to continue his education.
Andrew was a loving father, son, and brother. He was also a role model to many. In his final days, Andrew exemplified the same great strength and dignity that had characterized his entire life. He never complained and always had an encouraging word and great smile that would light up a room. Andrew loved to laugh, joke, and most of all, he loved music and basketball…and let’s not forget how much he loved pit bulls!
Andrew was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Romain and his maternal grandparents, Henry and Mary Rachel. Andrew leaves to cherish his precious memory three children, Taevion (Mook) Romain, Londyn Harrell, and Aubre Romain; father, Verlon Romain, Sr.; paternal grandmother, Monica Romain of Canada; four brothers, Victor Romain of Virginia, Vincent Harding of New York, Michael Romain, Jr. of Washington, D.C. and Marcus Tudor-Harding of New York; three sisters, Michelle Thomas of Washington D.C., Natasha Ross of Florida and Victoria Romain of Washington, D.C.; five aunts, Joyce, Elizabeth, Lorraine, Elaine, and Shirley; four uncles, William, Johnathan, Kenneth and Derrick; and three great aunts, Shirleen, Jessica, and Agnes; one special cousin, Vernon Romain, Jr.; very dear and special friend, Latoya Houston; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who adored him. Verlon Andrew Romain will be truly missed!
