    Julia and Tony send our deepest condolences to the family of my dear friend Ronald Haynes. He was a Black Pioneer Police Officer in the City of Virginia Beach. He made it possible by shattering that brickwall for others like him to achieve. He will be remembered.

    As a 72 year old, some of my fondest memories involve my old and dear friend, Ron Haynes. Hopefully his family will find comfort in knowing that he leaves a reputation of being a good police officer and good and decent person, who was well-liked and respected by all.

    So long Buddy, from your old “Beat 58” walking-beat partner, Lucian “Loosh” Colley.

    See you on the other side. Meanwhile, rest in peace my friend, after a job well-done !

    Dearest Family;
    What an incredible legacy this gentle
    giant and man left us.
    Ronnie, Larry, Rudy and Uncle Pummie were our ‘Big Brothers’.
    We looked up to them and thought they were the absolute coolest!!
    When we were in high school ALL the girls at Princess Anne swooned over Ron Haynes!
    Ronnie was such a gentleman; kind, gracious and humble.
    Such a beautiful spirit!
    We were so proud of his service to the Virginia Beach Police Department. He was the perfect example of what a Policeman with integrity and fairness looks like. And we prayed for him as he displayed his love and devotion to Cousin Grace during her health challenges.
    It is our prayer that we will all meet again in that sweet land of perfect days..

    Lovingly,
    Stephanie
