Norfolk – Robert Martin Williamson Jr., 74, of the 7800 block of Azalea Garden Rd. passed away on December 28, 2021. He was born on June 2, 1947 in Norfolk, VA to the late Robert Martin Williamson Sr. and Vida Gertrude (Johnson) Williamson. He was predeceased by his younger brother Edward James “Jim” Williamson and his former wife of more than 30 years and the mother to his two daughters Rachel C. Warfield.

He enjoyed the simple things in life. He was a very accomplished pool player and he loved to fish. He served as a tank driver in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam conflict. He was awarded several medals including a silver star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action. He was a retired master electrician and worked part time in auto part sales.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 4 years Amber Temple; two daughters Jennie Murray of Virginia Beach and Christi (Cerrone) Facen of Norfolk; one brother William (Paulette) Williamson of Norfolk; nine grandchildren Robert, Ashley, Drew, Austin, Cheyanne, Joshua, Jonathan, Dustin and Nina; Eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In honor of his wishes a formal funeral will not be held.

A graveside service will be conducted at Albert G. Horton Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, VA. Interment is Private. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.metropolitanservice.com
