Lola B. Wilson is a retired Computer Systems Analyst from Federal Civil Service. Her varied career experiences included being CEO of a Consulting Business, Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM), Computer Specialist for Naval Supply Center Norfolk, and Computer Specialist and Supply Systems Quality Assurance Manager. She received many awards and certificates of excellence during her career.
Some of her professional experiences included being past president of the Women’s Network of Hampton Roads, American Business and Professional Women’s Association, past Regional Officer of International Training in Communication for Toastmistress, Board Member of Norfolk Community Services Board Norfolk, past Chairman of Substance Abuse Services, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc and National Association of Female Executives.
Lola Mae Brown Wilson was a “mother” not only to the children she birthed but to many others her affectionately and lovingly call her, “mom.”
She was preceded in death by her husband Hayward Wilson, Sr. her son Hayward Wilson, Jr. her siblings Robertha Howell and Lucille Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Shelia Green (Lewis), Patricia Sheryl Wilson, Anita Wilson, and Daughter in Love Concetta Allen; her grandchildren Don Wilson, Hayward McKenzie, Christopher Green, Stephen Green (Briana), Candace Wyche (Jaquar), Darius Allen, Dante Allen; her great-grandchildren Makynzie Allen, DonAisa Wilson, Elise Green, Eden Green, Ezekiel Wyche, and Ezekiel Green. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, God-children, and friends.
