Reverend Dee and I wish to offer our condolences to Tina , our friend and sister in Christ and other members of John Blackett ‘s family. I grew up with John and his brother Jimmie in the Huntersville section of Norfolk. We went to the same public schools , the same church , the same college , Norfolk State and together joined the National Honorary Society of Pershing Rifles in 1962. Going to miss you my brother but I know it was well with your soul . Rest in peace.

My deepest condolences and sympathy to John’s family. You are in my prayers. John is one of the nicest people I know. We grew up together in Huntersville. In our adult years I would see him at church and he was always warm and cordial. May these few words help him meet the ancestors.
