Jean Katherine Harrison, fondly known as Kathy to those closest to her, departed from this world peacefully at Birchwood Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Home on March 29, 2024, at the age of 74. She was born on January 7, 1950, in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late Daniel A. and Audrey E. Harrison.
Kathy’s journey through life was marked by a vibrant spirit and a strong personality. After graduating from Booker T. Washington High School in 1968, she embarked on a career in communications in the bustling city of Washington, D.C. Kathy was known for her eccentricity, which manifested in her unique fashion sense, her eclectic taste in house décor, and her unforgettable personality.
Kathy’s memory will be cherished by her surviving sister, Sandra Patricia Hill; two nieces: Paula Harrison-Hill, and Kristen Harrison-Hill; and a multitude of cousins, caregivers, and acquaintances. Though Kathy has departed from this earthly realm, her memory will forever remain a beacon of light for those who knew and loved her.
May she rest in eternal peace.
