De-Qwane M. Brown departed his life on Wednesday, April 9, 2024. Our lives were changed, and our hearts were hurt for our Son, Father, Grandson, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin & friend. De-Qwane, known to many as “Buck”, was born on December 20, 1992, in Norfolk, VA. Most of his childhood and teenage years were spent in various Norfolk neighborhoods. During this time, De-Qwane found happiness in hanging with his friends, playing football and basketball, also spending time with his grandma growing up. De-Qwane attended Norfolk Public Schools throughout his educational career, where he later received his GED with flying colors. He later went on to pursue Commercial Trucker Driving at Piedmont Virginia Community College in Charlottesville, VA, where he received his Class A CDLs to drive trucks. De-Qwane had aspirations of becoming a business owner and starting his own trucking company.
De-Qwane was a very well liked and strongly loved individual. He was smart and handsome and always such a joy to be around. He was known for being a jokester and always making everyone laugh with his antics. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing De-Qwane could attest to him being an all-around stand-up guy and an exceptional father. De-Qwane was very determined and hardworking. One of his ultimate goals in life was to give his children the world, and to be present for any and every accomplishment they encountered. Out of all the great things that one could say about De-Qwane being an amazing father to his two daughters, his soon-to-be born son was at the top of the list. He took pride in being an active father to his girls and was preparing for the birth of his firstborn son.
De-Qwane was predeceased by his late brother, Tezon Jones. He leaves to cherish his parents, Angela Brown and Anthony Crandle; his daughters: Mersaydes Brown and Kadence Brown; soon to be born son, De-Qwane Brown Jr.; grandmothers: Purnella Johnson and Brenda Hayes; his siblings: Teryn Barbour, Teshara Brown Gilliam, Teshya Brown, King DeAngelo, Genisis Brown, Ariana Church (Brandon), Kiara Beckett, Maya Ausler-Ferguson, Jarrell Jones, Armin Robinson (Lakeena); and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. De-Qwane will truly be missed!!!
