Brenda Arline McClease

Sunrise: April 13, 1958

Sunset: April 5, 2023

The Golden Gates were opened Wide,

A gentle voice said, “Come.”

And Angels from the Other Side,

Gently welcomed Brenda Home

During the early hours on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Mary Washington hospital Fredericksburg, Virginia, our beloved Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, and best friend Brenda Arlene McClease, reached the triumphant end of her earthly existence, and went home to be with the Lord.

On April 13, 1958, the late Stanford H. and Lelia Ann McClease were blessed with the birth of a set of triplets: Bruce, Brenda, and Barbara McClease. This was big news in Berkley and in many cities in the state of Virginia.

Brenda was given a Christian upbringing at St. Mark United Church of Christ in Berkley, Virginia.  Brenda was a 1976 graduate of Lake Taylor Senior High school and continued her studies at Norfolk State University for approximately 2 years before becoming one of the first Meter Monitors at the Norfolk Police Department.  She retired in 2004 after many successful and productive years.

She leaves to cherish her beloved son Deonte McClease , Lakisha McClease, daughter-in-law,  grandson Elijah McClease of Spotsylvania, Virginia; sisters and brothers: Deborah Lewis, Forney, Texas, Stanford Rickie McClease, Dearborn Michigan, Valarie Skinner, Norfolk, Virginia, Bruce E. McClease, Blythewood, South Carolina (triplet #1),  Barbara Hosch, Atlanta, Georgia (triplet #3), her maternal Aunt Louise Whitehurst and paternal Aunt Mattie Bryant, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

I send my love and condolences for the loss of her physical presence. Allowing room for the blessings of her spiritual presence and protection as she gains her wings to stand in the glory of God’s army. She now has the freedom to guard all her loved ones. With the love she gave all she knew and the blessings she gave just being herself is amazing. Know she will always be with you no matter what forever and always.
