Antoine Hakeem Sykes, age 29, passed away October 10, 2020. He was born in Portsmouth Virginia to Christopher F. Sykes and the late Reba M. Sykes on May 3, 1991. Antoine was affectionally known as “Fruit” because he was always smiling all the time. Fruit loved to smile and spend time with his family. Fruit was a “Ray of Sunshine”and had a gift of bringing the family together. He was always happy to see everyone and always ready to take a family picture.
Although he was nonverbal, he could express his emotions with his facial expressions. He always had a smile on his face, and was happy to see his family.
Left to cherish his memories is one sister, Tonya Kornegay (Waldorf, Maryland); three brothers Christopher R. Sykes (Lekita) Waldorf, Maryland, Omar F. Sykes (Emily) (Trenton, New Jersey), Devin J. Sebrell and a host of nieces and nephews.
