Yvonne Newsome, born on October 1 of 1957, was the daughter of Alfred Green Sr and the late Evelyn L. Lewis; the oldest of all her siblings. She departed this earthly life on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, surrounded by her immediate relatives. Our family is deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden death.
She is survived by her father, siblings, and three children: Gary Newsome of Norfolk, VA, Derrick Newsome of Portsmouth, VA and Parrell Newsome of Wesley Chapel, FL (wife Diana); grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Yvonne was predeceased by her mother Evelyn and her daughter Lisa Bowman.
Yvonne loved her family dearly. Her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life and her relationship with her brothers and sisters was cherished. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She touched the lives of so many people. Yvonne loved music and dancing. She was candid and wore all her emotions on her sleeves. You absolutely knew where you always stood with her – good or bad. Yvonne was wise beyond her years, smart and witty, and did what she wanted when she wanted to.
Her memory will be cherished by all the wonderful people who she formed an inseparable bond with. She will truly be missed and will never, ever, be forgotten. Long Live Yvonne – R.I.P
