My heart aches for the family. I will greatly miss Wonder. Wonder was my 1st and best friend at Avalon Church. I enjoyed seeing and talking with every Sunday and greatly missed her on the Sundays she was unable to attend. The world will be a little less bright without Wonder. She was so full life. God really does have an Angel with him.

Wonder, I will miss you my friend.

I sent this to a link I was given to Gail at the church this morning. I hope she received it.

Finding Avalon Church was a blessing during my time in Virginia. Then a double blessing meeting Wonder in Sunday School and attending Bible Study. We quickly bonded and shared many after church dinners, movies and shopping.
One of Wonders favorite memories was us sitting in church passing notes & giggling like two school girls getting in trouble with Pastor Jimmy saying he was going to separate us.
I moved to Florida in 2010 and the two of us never let the distance affect our close friendship. I don’t think we ever went more than two weeks of calling each other and sometimes 2-3 hour conversations. Always picking up right where we left off.
To know Wonder was to love her. A heart of gold who could make you laugh and always sharing the word of God. I was able to last visit her 3 years ago and we were hoping to plan a girls trip before finding out her diagnosis. I treasure the time we had together and will forever hold the fun times & memories close to my heart.
To have even one friend like her in your lifetime is a priceless treasure and now I know without a doubt she is rich beyond measure with streets of gold, no pain and with our Heavenly Father.
I will love you forever my dear. Until I see you again.

    Wonder,

I had the fortune of meeting you at Fort Jackson 33 years ago. You will be a part of my heart forever. I had never thought that the when we had spoken a couple of weeks ago that it would be our last. Somehow I had thought the “I love yous” through all of the years meant forever here on earth but then that is the 17 year old girl talking. I love you to the moon and back.
