The Life and Legacy of Willis Curtis Weatherspoon
Willis Curtis Weatherspoon ( WC), at the age of 78 received his wings on Friday, December 6th, 2019 in Williamsburg, Virginia. Willis was the fourth child of his beloved parents, Bill Dooley and Lerene Crumble of Clinton, Kentucky. Willis was born in Clinton, Kentucky on June 30th, 1941. Willis worked thirty five years as a Forman for the United States Steel Mill. In his leisure, Willis enjoyed playing mushball, basketball, baseball, attending drive in movies, and going to Enchanted Forest Amusement Park with his children. Additionally, he loved spending quality time with his best friends, WH (deceased), John Spates (deceased), and Leon Deberry (deceased), and Joe Thomas. He was a faithful servant of the Lord whom was actively involved in his church organization in Indiana and in his mushball team activities (Lucky’s, Early Inn, Roberts Motel, etc).
Willis was married to Johnnie Mae Thrope for thirt five years. Willis leaves to cherish his legacy, a family whom he loved; his former wife, Johnnie Mae, former mother in law, Florence Freeman, one brother, Wilbert, one sister, Shirley, five children, Davey Arnell, Anita, Tanya, Michael, and Brian, one nephew David (Pnut), one niece, Dorthia, eleven grandchildren, Jasmine, Preston, Katelin, Dallas, Sierra, Trey, Jayden, Callie, Olivia, Trenton, and Maddox, several great grandchildren from Jasmine and Preston Weatherspoon.
At last, he will be reunited with his parents, siblings, and grandchildren.
