Willie Stephen Carter (Benny, Biddy, Ben) transitioned to be with the LORD on July 14, 2021. He was born in Norfolk VA on August 4,1945 where he completed High School and continued his education at ODU and a host of Electronic and Technical Schools. Benny married Shirley on February 8,1965. They were married 56 years and together raised 3 children. He worked as an Electronic Equipment Specialist for the Naval Rework Facility for 29 years, retired in 1996. He also enjoyed collecting baseball caps and playing softball for the Pirates of Norfolk VA and was proud of every trophy earned.

Benny was predeceased by his father, Willie Carter (Beatrice), his mother Ivella C. Gorham, brothers; Walter Holly, Herman Comer, George Comer, brother in-laws; Vernon Bray, Earl Wicker, great aunt Victoria H White and great niece Nadia Davidson.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Shirley of Portsmouth VA, his children Tammy Holloman (Michael) of Portsmouth VA, Tyrone Carter of Portsmouth VA and Monica Carter of Columbus GA. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Jasmine Carter, Admir Carter, Michaela Holloman, Amya Holloman, Michael Holloman Jr, Nya Cotton, Ronelle Williams and 1 great grand-child; Bryson Holloman. Survived by Siblings; Victoria Davidson, Greta Bray, Alberta Wicker and brother William Comer, also Roger Goodman (affectionately known as a brother). and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends

Benny will be missed here in the present but will NEVER be forgotten.

    He called me Niece! So sorry to hear of My Uncle Bennie’s passing ! He had such a Beautiful smile when you could get him to do so! Always appeared to be the hard and bad guy! Will truly miss you and your ever now and them presence! He was our 7 of Club! Rest on Uncle Bennie!

    Uncle Benny, I will miss our extended phone calls. We could talk forever. You were always true and straight forward. Our conversations started out talking about your brother (Bubba), but then they would end up about me. Uncle Benny was so caring.
    Aunt Shirley and family, I’m forever grateful that God allowed us those moments. He will be missed and forever loved. Your neicee Warlene
