    Dear Brother Gerald,

Please know that I share your sorrow at the transitioning of your wonderful mother. Experiencing the transitioning of a love one is a difficult valley to travel through in this life.

Yet God’s Word gives us the assurance that we are victorious over sadness and pain through the power of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Even in your present sadness, I rejoice at the knowledge that Mother Dixion was a faithful Christian who gave her life to the Lord and served faithfully until the end.

As you know, the greatest joy for a Christian believer is to be able to join the Apostle Paul in saying, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7 NIV)

Your mother did fight the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. Now, she will rest from her labor and will dwell in the house of the Lord forever!

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the comfort of the Holy Spirit be with you and your family now and always.

    Yours in Christ,

I am so saddened at the passing of Mother Dixon. She was very dear to my family for THREE generations. A great friend to my grandmother, a mother-figure to my mom, and therefore an “acquired” grandmother to me. She will be greatly missed. Take your rest Suga!!! See you in the morning??

In you, God gave us a pillar for strength and comfort. You traveled from birth, in North Carolina, to Philadelphia. Philadelphia meaning love for the brethern and truth, godly love for one another, can only be manifested in life of a believer, who is in fellowship with the Father and walking in spirit and truth. Then, your journey lead you to Virginia. Which we know, Virginia is for Lovers. As the pillar is an image of a solid firm foundation, you were given to us as a pillar in our family (Dixon’s). As life continued, your comfort and love, supported and cushioned us. Symbolically to a pillow. Chosen and hand picked by God (Jehovah) and dad (Johnnie Lee) just for us! You were positioned, capable, and ready to listen, give words of love and wisdom, and for that you were loved and we are blessed and thankful.
    Always, Gerald and Diann
