Sunrise: February 22, 1972

Sunset: November 13, 2024

Willie “Nodd” Stitt, a god-loving man, was called to his eternal rest on November 13th, 2024, at the age of 54. He departed his earthly remains in Portsmouth, VA, with his loving family by his side. Willie often read his bible and communed with God, he lived a life of adventure and was never afraid of taking chances.

Willie was born on February 22nd, 1972, in Portsmouth, VA, to Mr. Willie M. Green Jr & Virginia G. Stitt. In his younger years, Willie was the true definition of what a little boy is, doing things like jumping off rooftops, playing basketball, wrestling, and taking martial arts. As a student, Willie got excellent grades. Willie was raised under the care of his Paternal grandparents, Mother Irene Green Knight & Willie “Pop” Green Sr. He was raised in a home full of love, frequent prayer, and lessons on how to be a provider and a protector. He also took on the no-nonsense, speak-your-mind, honest spirit of his grandmother. Willie never changed his character and treated people with kindness he is affectionally known as “Teddy Bear” to some. Willie had a love for landscaping, working as a dedicated employee with Lawrence Landscaping, which led him to begin the pursuit of starting his own landscaping business; however, his health would not allow this to happen. He found another passion, caring for others, and became the assistant C.E.O. of Perseverance Supervised Home Health Care, LLC, where he was also active as a caregiver until his passing.

Willie is predeceased by
