Willie Mae Etheridge departed this earth, February 17, 2021. She was born May 15, 1945 to the late Willie L and Clara Smith. Mrs. Willie Etheridge worked at NOB and Navy Air Station for many years before retiring in 2003. She loved and cared for people on the street. She enjoyed playing cards and having fun with her family and friend. She was the oldest of fourteen children, and she loved them each in their own way just as her five children. Her favorite quote was “Be the Best that you can be, if you give your all you have no regrets”
Preceding her in death is her parents, Willie L. and Clara Smith, son, Raymond Smith, Raymond Byrdsong; husband, Raphus Etheridge, sisters, Barbara J. Scott; brother, Ernest Smith.
Left to cherish her precious memories are her loving children, Jacqueline Smith, Serita Smith, Jonathan Byrdsong (Jamette), Jerome Byrdsong (Andretta) and Albert Spencer; stepchildren, Marcia Mc-Nealy, Marnita Jefferson, Raphus Etheridge (Denita), Alexander Cooks, Anthony Cooks, Robert Cooks, James Cooks; Special Friend, Frank Bailey; sisters, Teresa Smith, Yvonne Smith, Denise Smith, Michelle Smith, Patricia Dowell, Susan Smith, Sabrina Bruce; brothers, Ronnie Smith, Joseph Smith, Gary Smith, Anthony Smith; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friends.

    The service for my Aunt Mae was beautiful. She looked beautiful and peaceful. One thing about Metropolitan on Granby Street they will make sure everything is done decent and in order. My aunt Mae will be missed and she is loved by us all. My Dad oldest sister ? RIH Beautiful
