Willie Lee Lashley, also known to many as “Red”, was born on November 5, 1939 to Lucille Lashley and Odell Ming In Drewryville, VA. At the age of 80, he made his transition to his heavenly home. Willie attended Southampton County Public Schools, later dropped out to help his mother. He began driving tractor trailers in his late twenties and fell in love with “over the road driving”.
He worked for Bay Trucking for 25 years, where he later retired. Willie, then began working with Fonza’s Auto in Chesapeake, VA, then began working with Speller Auto. He later had a stroke and decided to take it one day at a time.
Willie is predeceased by his mother and father, Lucille and Odell Ming; daughter, Patrice Mullen and nephews, Derrick Newsome and Breon Daughtry. He leaves behind to cherish his memories are four daughters, Sonya McInnis, Diane McInnis, Crystal McInnis and Felicia Mullen four sons, Samuel Williams, Antonio Stith (Regina), Tony Taylor (Renee) and Cashus Daise; sister, Mable Smallwood; special nephews, Tony Newsome and Devon Newsome. Willie “Red” Lee Lashley will truly be missed.
