William Edward Jennette, a 78-year-old Norfolk, Virginia, resident, peacefully passed away at his home.
William was born in Scranton, North Carolina, to Ella Fonville and Charlie Jennette. He retired from the shipyard and was well known for his skills as a handyman, always ready to lend a helping hand. William had a love for fishing and cooking, often sharing his love of both with friends and family. He also enjoyed playing the lottery, shopping at thrift stores, and telling jokes to bring a smile to others.
He was predeceased by his beloved partner, Ruby Fentress. William is survived by his Aunt Mary, his bonus son Nate, and his fiancé Sharmillia Riddick, also known as Millie, who were there for him during his final days. He is also survived by a host of family and friends who will fondly remember his humor and generosity.
