William C. Wiggins Sr. best known as Winkey the Hitman was born to the late Florence Taylor & Henton Wiggins on July 31, 1944, in Stony Creek, Virginia. He was 1 out of 14 children and was predeceased by siblings, Arthur, James, Prince, Robert, Junious Wiggins, Paige Cameron, Annie Wright, Beulah Jackson, Gladys Wiggins, Rosa Wiggins and Florence Freeman he is survived by his loving sister Flossie Wyatt, and loving Brother Earkard Wiggins.

On Weds, October 11, 2023, God called his good and faithful servant Home to a time of Rest and Reward. Leaving his earthly life, its cares, materials and illness. He is finally with the doctor of all doctors. He was loved by his family and friends, but God loved him best. As he takes his rest and reward, he leaves a host of family and friends who will forever treasure his love and embrace: Brothers, Sisters, Nieces, Nephews, a host of Cousins Grandchildren, friends and many other loved ones. He was survived by his loving wife Laura Wiggins of 27 years and children; Patsy Burgess, Leon ‘Skeeter’ Johnson (Tiffany), William Wiggins JR, Donte Norris, & Shantal Wiggins & two Grandchildren, Rashaud Miles, and Micaiah Johnson who will truly miss him.

Winkey began his life journey at an early age and moved to the city of Norfolk to make a name for himself. He started work at Smith & Welton and departed later to pursue his passion. He asked God to make him somebody & he did just that. He began making music & Dj’ing as an early adult & began to gain traction. He loved to sing and entertain. From there he went into the Nightclub business and owned several Nightclubs/restaraunts such as The Big Apple, Momentous, Zodiac, Casablanca, Ridley’s, & Chateau. His spiritual walk officially began after he exited the Nightclub scene. He would always share the good news of God. He was an individual who was hardworking, showed genuine love, kindness and an eager willingness to help others. After retiring from the Nightclub business, Winkey embodied the true meaning of entrepreneurship by owning & managing property & starting his own Carpet Cleaning business. He never wavered in supporting his family and showing just how much his family meant to him. Besides his family, it was the simple things in life that were most important to him: God, Music, and Faith.
