Wilbert “Buck” Dickens was born August 30, 1954 in Edgecombe County, NC to Carrie Bell Jones and Fred Little. Buck worked for the Virginian Pilot for 20 plus years as a paper handler. He was an avid cook, fisherman and singer. He would always sing around the house and try to get his grandkids to taste whatever he was cooking.
He was predeceased by his mother, father, stepfather, Ernest Jones; siblings, Lump Little, Ted Little, Forest Little, Dennis Little and Fannie Mae Speller. Buck is survived by his wife, Cynthia Dickens; children, Tracy Bayonne, Dominick Wiggins, Wilbert Hinton-Dickens, Taylor Dickens, David Rainey and Michael Rainey; his siblings, Ernest Jones, Milton Jones, Sarah Dickens, Cynthia Jones, Dennis Jones, Doug Little, Penny Little and Joyce Little; sixteen grandchildren that he loved with everything and a host of special friends he met over the years
