Walter “Walt “Burton, Jr. departed this life on January 24, 2021. ”Walt”, as we all knew him, was born March 23, 1956 to the late Mildred Burton and Walter Williams, Sr. in Chariton, Virginia. Walt leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Lois Burton; two daughters, Crystal Burton-Midgette (Marvin) and Lisa Etheridge; four sons, Orlando Twyford, Walter Johnson, Jules Johnson and Demetrice Coles; grand- children and great- grandchildren whom he loved and adored; sisters, Helen Burton, Clettie Burton, Loretta Handy (Norman) and the late Evelyn Dawkins; brothers, Thomas Burton (Barbara), Benjamin Burton, Kelvin Burton (Vicky) and Kenneth Burton (Vivian); two aunts, Gloria Graves and Evelena Gunter (Alfred); uncle, Robert Burton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Walt mostly worked for himself in home improvement but his trade was not limited to that, he was a man of many trades. If he ever worked on your car or repaired your home, you knew his work. He was a humble man, a proud man, a man with a heart of gold. If you knew him forever met him you never forgot him. Even though his work is done here on earth, he will never be forgotten.
