Wadell Scott was called home to be with the Lord, our Savior on July 27, 2022. He was born June 10, 1954 in Norfolk, VA. The son of the late Frank Scott and the late Lillie Mae Gatling Scott. He was educated in Norfolk Public Schools and he graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. He served three years in the Army with an honorable discharge. He was employed at Nations Bank as a janitor for several years until he could no longer work due to health issues.
Wadell was loved by everyone and was known for his unique sayings. His favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys and loved playing the game of horseshoes. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was predeceased by his daughter Lashana Bracey; his twin sister Lindell Scott; his oldest brother Frank Scott; and his children’s mother, Anita Bracey.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his daughter, Katina Davis (Aaron); three grandchildren, Jameela Bracey, Tae’Andre Bracey, and Erron Davis; three great grandchildren, Jameel Bracey, Makaylah Summers, and Kingston Bracey; one sister, Brenda Augson (Michael); a special friend, Herbert Ivey (Pete); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
