Virginia Ludell White was born March 29, 1929 in Windsor, NC to the late Columbus Hyman and Rosanna Hyman. She peacefully passed away on December 3, 2020. She was married to the late William Dan White, Sr.
She was educated in the Windsor School System graduating from Etheridge High School. She furthered her education at Crestwood Nursing School. She retired from DePaul Hospital after 25 years where she was employed as a Nurse’s Assistant. She worked as a Prayer Counselor at CBN for a number of years.
Virginia was the second to the oldest of ten children. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Nathaniel Hyman and Quiller Hyman; four sisters, Rosalee Calhoun, Yvonne Speller, Delsia Hill and Mildred Cassell and a great grandchild, Joshua Robinson.
The Garden of Prayer #3 Church of God in Christ church family will dearly miss Mother Virginia White. She was a member for over fifty years. She served faithfully as an Evangelist, Missionary, Usher and Choir member.
She leaves to cherish her memory seven children, Pastor William Dan White, Jr., Katherine Robinson, Myron White, Sr., Willow J. Artis, Elder Troy S. White, Elder Kenneth C. White (Chartres) and Kimberly F. White all of the Hampton Roads area; one brother, Cleophis Hyman; two sisters, Sarah Hyman and Annie Marie Jones all of Philadelphia, PA; two sons-in-law, Glenn Robinson, Sr. and Nathaniel Artis; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
