Virginia Lee Joyner “Fats or VA” gained her on wings on Friday, January 3, 2020. She was born on August 11, 1948 to Vivian T.
Williams and the late Ernest Williams Sr. in Norfolk, VA. Virginia was married to the late Willie Joyner for 37 years. Virginia was
raised in the Lamberts Point section of Norfolk, VA. Virginia retired from TRT/HRT. Virginia was a loving, outspoken and giving woman. If you knew Virginia, she loved entertaining, cooking, playing Lottery and shopping on Wednesdays “Senior
Citizen Day” you could catch her in Roses, Ross, Dollar Tree and Piggly Wiggly.
Virginia was predeceased by her father, Ernest Williams Sr. two brothers; William H. Williams and Roosevelt Williams, one
sister, Clarastine Williams.
Left to cherish her memories, one daughter, LaShan W. Privott of Chesapeake, one son, Willie M. Williams of Port Arthur,
Texas, one devoted son-in-law, Andrew Privott of Chesapeake, granddaughter, Aprique Williams (Eric) of Atlanta, Georgia,
grandson, Kirk Williams (Shenita) of Virginia Beach, two greatgranddaughters, Jashia Godfrey and Ny’La Turner of Atlanta,
GA. her mother, Vivian T. Williams of Norfolk, VA, two sisters, Carolyn Williams of Warren, MI. and Evangeline Williams of
Norfolk, VA, one brother, Ernest Williams Jr. of Norfolk, VA, a special nephew, Phillip Williams of Norfolk, VA, a host of special
friends and special cousins.
