November 12, 2019 at 6:09 pmIt’s with deep sorrow in my heart to have heard that Miss Virgie passed away. She was one of the funniest woman that I met when I started working for the PACE Program 10 years ago. She was always telling me funny stories and showing nothing but genuine love. I’m from California so we talked about my home and why I ended up in Virginia. She loved when my two grandsons would come to visit and think they were girls (long hair) lol. But I love to hear her stories of not being “dead” that she’s still a woman. It was hilarious. But mostly I will remember her for just being loud with that laugh. I would hear that sound when I was at the front desk and say “Miss Virgie is in the building”. I would make my way to the Dayroom and give her kisses. She will be sorely missed by the PACE family. My prayers to you all and thank you for showing me love when you would come to visit her at PACE. I just moved back to California in August, so that’s why I couldn’t attend her services. If I may ask one favor of you, can you give a program to PACE so they can mail it to me, thank you so much.
May God continue to give you the best and loving memories of Miss Virgie. Love you to life.
