He enlisted in the United States Army after graduation in 1981 and retired after 18 years as a Sergeant First Class. He also worked for Flow Mole and Virginia Power.
Vincent truly loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved to barbeque, play cards, and listen to good music. Vincent leaves to cherish his memories a devoted and loving wife, Demetrius Carnell; sons, Curtis Bell and Brandon Cherry; daughter in laws, Veronica “Nikki” Perkins and Tamara “Tammy” Cherry; six grandchildren; one great granddaughter; father and stepmother, Hubert Dunston (Portia); three brothers, James “Jamie” Carnell, Arlander “Butter” Carnell (Gloria), and Jeffery “Jeff” Carnell (Denise).
