“Behold, I shew you a mystery; we shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumphet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” 1 Corinthians 15:51

Vernell Priscilla Collins quietly and peacefully departed this life on Friday, August 13, 2021. She was born January 17, 1965 to the late Lawrence Sr. and Velma Collins. She was affectionately known as “Pinky.”

We are remembering the many times we shared. We are wondering now if we ever thanked Pinky for the sacrifices she made, the things she did. Remorseful if we have forgotten to show enough gratitude for all she had done for us individually. So now, in our hearts and with our presence, we thank and celebrate Pinky’s life; hoping that she knew and felt all along how much she meant to each one of us. You are loved, Pinky, and will never be more than a thought apart. As long as there is memory. You will live on in our hearts.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Deark Wardell Collins; Fiance’, Dwayne Hyman; two brothers, Lawrence W. Collins Jr. (Vanessa) and Jayson Reid; two sisters, Zena Brown (Jerome)  and Cecelia Clarke (George); four nieces, Bianca Artis, Lawren Collins, Melonna Clarke and Georne’ Clark; four nephews, Dominique Artis, Jayson Reid Jr., Jayce Reid and Geramy Clarke; two great nieces, Narley Artis and Londyn Palmer; two aunts, Christine Whitfield and Novella Whitaker; two uncles, Presalee Collins Jr. and Horace Collins and a host of cousins and dear friends.

I am so sorry to have learned that your love one has passed. I have only been in her presences a few things and though I know she can cut up she was always pleasant. When she was involved in something she wanted things to be done right.
