Valerie Marcia Brite, age 63, of 2601 Alameda Dr, Virginia Beach, VA, departed this life on Monday, October 14th, 2024, at 11:00 PM. She is the daughter of George & Mary Ann Brite Wilson, biological Issac Barnard of South Mills, NC. She was born June 29, 1961, in Elizabeth City, NC, and grew up in South Mills, NC. She became a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and started singing at the age of seven. She later joined the choir and participated in many church programs. She is a graduate of Camden County High School and also attended Elizabeth City State University. She was an employee of Bank Of America and Loan Care Inc. as a mortgage and document specialist.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Ann Brite Wilson, of Virginia Beach, VA, one sister, Sheryl Juneeta Brite, one daughter, Trilby Shamada Brite, two sons, Sanchez Brite and Travarie Brite, all of Virginia Beach, VA, one Uncle and Aunt, Jerome (Willie B. Brite) of Elizabeth City, NC, one nephew, Shawn Williams of Elizabeth City, NC, and special friends. Jimmy Williams of Lewiston, NC, Tony Hagans of Norfolk, VA, Sancy Stokely of Elizabeth City, NC, and a host of cousins & friends.

    Valerie had such a zest for life and I can always hear her laughing! I always loved her spirit. I went to high school with Trilby and Sanchez and they’re some of my oldest friends. Valerie will be missed and my prayers go out to the family. ✨❤️
