Valerie Denise Williams, 60 of Norfolk, was born to Virgie Mae Williams and John Eddie Williams, Sr. She was called to her final resting place the morning of January 26, 2020.
Valerie graduated from the Chesapeake school system. She later employed full-time at BELO (Norfolk), while attending school at Commonwealth College. While there, she completed her studies as the Valedictorian of her graduating class and earned her Associates Degree in Accounting. Valerie, aka “MUDDA”, is mostly known to all, not just for her brilliance, but also for her creativity, impressive technical skills and above all, her affectionate personality. Even she realized her gift and decided to nickname herself “MUDDA”, the MOST UNIQUE DIVERSE DIVINE ANCESTRAL of us all.
Everyone who knows Valerie, knows that her most fulfilling job was being a caretaker of generations of children within the Williams family and beyond.
Valerie leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted children, Latonya Hunter (Ronald) and Tommy Gene Williams; four sisters, Catherine Mullen, Barbara Anderson (Norman), Geraldine Fleurant, Sharon Vincent; four brothers, John E. Williams, Jr. Gary Williams, Roderick Williams (Kymy) and Travoris Knight (Lashonda); nine devoted grandchildren and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
