On April 18, 2025, Tyrone Stith, known as “Tick,” was called home peacefully. Tyrone was born in South Hampton County, June 13, 1959, to the late James T. Stith and Elouise Stith.
Tyrone attended Portsmouth Public School. He worked for Asphalt Roads for 13 years until he became ill. Tyrone was married to Remonia Stith for 20 years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, whom we loved dearly.
Tyrone was preceded in death by his mother, Elouise Stith, and father, James Stith, Sr.; sister, Ann Lee Dixon; brothers, James Stith, Artis Ray Stith, and Mark A. Stith.
Tyrone is survived by his wife, Remonia Stith; two sons, Russell Phillips (JaKayla), and Ramell Phillips (Venecia); one grandson, Carter Phillips; one granddaughter, La’Maria Phillips; three sisters, Gladys Robinson (Arthur), Brenda L. Osborne, Sheila Boone (Robert), Wanda E. McCoy (George) and one brother, David Potts (Gina). Tyrone also leaves to cherish his memory, three sisters-in-law, Linda Phillips, Diane Phillips, and Vanessa Robinson (Willie); five brothers-in-law, Robert Phillips (Evelyn), Arthur Phillips, Nathaniel Phillips (Sabena); Cornelius Phillips and Tony Phillips (Demetria) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
