Tremella Broadnax, 89, passed away on September 30, 2018. Tremella was born on September, 23, 1929 in Norfolk, VA. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist church where she participated in Junior Achievement and was a member of the Choir. “Mel” was predeceased by her husband Rudolph Broadnax and brothers, Odell Foster and Leroy Nicholson. She is survived by daughters, Gloria Blount, Deloris Peters, Dietriet Cheatham, Cynthia Goodson and Eleanor Dixon; sister, Hattie Long; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
