OUR BELOVED TODD JONES DEPARTED THIS LIFE ON OCTOBER 8, 2024, AT THE AGE OF 56. BORN ON FEBRUARY 11, 1968, IN NORFOLK, VIRGINIA, TODD GREW UP IN THE COMMUNITY, ATTENDING LAKE TAYLOR HIGH SCHOOL, WHERE HE BUILT THE FOUNDATION OF HIS ENDURING WORK ETHIC AND PASSION FOR SUCCESS. TODD WAS A DEDICATED ENTREPRENEUR, OWNING AND OPERATING SEVERAL BUSINESSES. HIS DRIVE TO SUCCEED AND HIS LOVE FOR THE REWARDS OF HARD WORK WERE CLEAR TO ALL WHO KNEW HIM. MORE THAN JUST AN ACCOMPLISHED BUSINESSMAN, TODD WAS A MENTOR AND FRIEND TO MANY, ALWAYS READY TO LEND A HAND AND OFFER GUIDANCE TO THOSE AROUND HIM.

IN 2012, TODD MARRIED THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE, CYNTHIA DAVIS. TOGETHER, THEY SHARED A LIFE FILLED WITH LOVE, JOY, AND LAUGHTER. TODD WAS THE PROUD FATHER OF TODD COOK SR. [KATINA], TIERA, JAHKEEM, MALIK, DEMONDRE, DASHEKA, SKYE, ZOQUANNA, AND MELVIN. HIS CHILDREN WERE HIS PRIDE AND JOY, AND HIS LOVE FOR THEM KNEW NO BOUNDS. ADDITIONALLY, TODD WAS BLESSED WITH 13 GRANDCHILDREN, EACH OF WHOM BROUGHT HIM IMMENSE HAPPINESS.

TODD WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED AS THE “LIFE OF THE PARTY,” A MAN WHOSE INFECTIOUS LAUGHTER AND WARM SPIRIT BRIGHTENED EVERY ROOM HE ENTERED. HE DEEPLY VALUED FAMILY AND FRIENDS, FINDING JOY IN THEIR COMPANY AND CELEBRATING LIFE’S MOMENTS WITH THEM. HIS LEGACY OF LOVE AND TOGETHERNESS WILL LIVE ON THROUGH THE MANY LIVES HE TOUCHED.

TODD IS SURVIVED BY HIS DEVOTED WIFE, CYNTHIA: CHILDREN: AND CHERISHED GRANDCHILDREN. HE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY HIS MOTHER, MARY JONES STROUD OF NORFOLK, AND HIS FATHER, ROBERT BROWN OF NEW YORK, AS WELL AS A LARGE CIRCLE OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS WHO WILL MISS HIM DEARLY. HE WAS PREDECEASED BY HIS STEPFATHER, EDWARD STROUD [“POP”], WHO WAS MARRIED TO HIS MOTHER, MARY. TODD WILL TRULY BE MISSED.

      Todd jones was a great man! He loved who loved him, if Todd could help you in any way he would. If you new Todd than you know he stayed fly lol, he loved to show up and show out. Todd jones left behind his mother, 2 beautiful little girls 16 years old and 1 year old.
      Nariyah and Skye if you ever need anything I’m here for you both. Rip Todd you will truly be missed. Hate you had to go so soon. Todd would want anything more from anyone but to make sure his mother and children are okay!

    Lord I’m in shock. I been knowing Todd for35yrs. He calls me sis. I’m praying for his wife and the family. I’m gonna miss all the night calls while he was working. So sorry fir this terrible loss

    My sincere condolences goes out to his entire family. I grew up with Todd throughout our teenage years in the Norview area. Definitely will be missed, but never forgotten. It’s not a goodbye, it’s I’ll see you later. Rest easy in peace with power!

    My Deepest Sympathy go out to Ms. Mary & Cynt and all who grieve this great loss. I’ve know Todd well over 30yrs through good times and bad I last saw him at my Father’s Homegoing Service in May not knowing it be our last time. Todd’s been a true friend to our family his loss a great one especially for Tray my little brother.
