Terrence J. Holley, affectionately known as “Terry,” “Lil’ T’ and “Ty-Boo” by his family. He went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 19, 2024. Terrence was born on February 1, 1975, to the late Joyce J. and Clarence Thomas. He attended Booker T. Washington High School, as well as the Aviation Institute of Maintenance. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, son-in-law, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was loved by many while here on Earth and will be sorely missed.
He joins his mother and father in Heaven, Joyce J. Thomas and Clarence Thomas; maternal grandparents, Sarah and Ralph Jones Sr.; paternal grandparents, Cornelia and William Thomas Sr.; aunts, Donna Graves, Patricia Jones, and Charlotte Hewitt; uncles, William Thomas Jr., Harold Thomas, Eddie Thomas and Bowman Thomas whom he rests alongside in heaven.
Left to honor Terry’s memories, his wife Markea Holley (forever his butterfly); mother-in-law Irene Hodges (who was very near and dear to his heart and soul); a bonus father-in-law Rudolph “Lucky” Burke (Ethel Burke); aunts, Brenda Wood, Renita Jones, and Shirley Wall; uncles, Ralph Jones Jr, Kirk Jones, Jerome Jones, Carl Thomas, James Thomas, and Kenny Thomas; his daughter, Destiny Carter-Des (Forever his “Lil-Mama”); his Son, Quaontez Harris- “Qua” (Forever his Baby Boy); brother Raymond Holley- “Ray” and a bonus brother Vernon Mitchell; sisters, Michelle Holley “Chell”, Sandra Johnson (Dee), Tyshena Thomas; and a bonus sister-In-law Lakeda Munford (Michael Munford); nieces, Bionica Moore, Tiara Holley, and Britt’nae Holley; nephews, Ash’yon Hayden and Brighton Thomas and a host of cousins and friends.
And a special place in his heart he held for Tamika (Meka). And a best friend of 30+ years, Troy, and “Waltia,” a special little lady he adored, despite his passing. Terry leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, compassion, and a footprint that will forever remain stained here on this earth. He will be forever loved and missed deeply until we meet again.
