Teresa was born in New Bern, NC on October 14, 1964 and was preceded in death by Lewis Cogdell, father, and Eva May Cogdell , mother, and brother Billy Cogdell. Tee was a graduate of New Bern High, and earned a Masters of Science in Computer Science graduating Cum Laude in 2006 . She retired from the United States Navy in 2001. Tee is survived by her 3 sons, Kadeem McCord, Malcolm McCord(Amanda), and Cydel McCord(Chernae), 2 grandsons, Gavin and Mr. Zakai, as he was lovingly referred to by his grandmother; sisters, Mary ,Francinia, Cathleen, Catherine, and Dot; brother,Lewis Cogdell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She enjoyed travelling and learning new things everyday. When she wasn’t doing those things, she was adoring her children, grandchildren, and other family members, because she treated them all as an extension of her. Teresa was a very passionate and determined woman. Her strength was insurmountable, and her love for life was insatiable. Her spirit soared with uncontained, clearsighted, unconditional truths for all things. May She Rest In Peace!

May 20, 2019 at 6:12 pmTo McCord Family,
Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your heart.
“Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.” – Thessalonians 4:13-14

May 23, 2019 at 5:10 pmI’m so sorry for your loss. Sometimes words cant express fully ones sympathy when learning of a persons death, simply b/c death affects all mankind and it hurts so much. I hope that the family can be comforted in knowing that God cares for you and sees your pain, 1 Peter 5:7, Psalm 34:18. May you find comfort and relief during this grievous time as you cherish your precious memories. May Christ heartwarming promise extended to our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death bring comfort, John 5:28,29

May 24, 2019 at 1:03 pmTo the family of Teresa,
My name is Jay and I want to send my deepest condolences to your family in your time of need. Teresa aka Tee was my sister in this bike world. She was one of my biker sisters that could keep me straight. Tee was always a joy to be around! Loved all the stories she would tell, one in particular made her my Starbucks Queen. This little lady had a lot of heart and was very kind but can become a beast if rubbed the wrong way. For the family, I know your hurting and the pain runs deep but understand her love for family, life and love also ran deep in her. She loved hard and played hard. She was a strong mother to her kids and a strong SISTER TO ME. She will never be forgotten! When I ride she will ride with me and when I fall someone else will carry on! SC FOREVER!!! Ride In peace

May 25, 2019 at 1:14 pmTo The McCord Family,
May memories of “Tee” and the love of family surround you and give you strength in the days ahead.
“Tee” was my dear friend, my sister and “Shipmate” and as much as I am heartbroken, I know that you too are also feeling the same.
I wanted to leave you with this piece of comfort:
“What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why she left this earth so soon, or why she left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that she died, but more so that she lived on purpose and she lived OUT LOUD! And that her life gave us memories too beautiful to forget”
I love you “Tee” and thank you for the memories, in time, that I will NEVER forget.
Yours truly and forever,
Pinky (from Next Friday)

May 25, 2019 at 3:25 pmI am truly sorry for your loss, what really comforted me in my time of loss is the scripture@ Revelation 21:3&4 . Which gives us the wonderful promise of God wiping out every tear from our eyes and death being no more. I hope this promise from Jehovah will truly bring your family much comfort at this time.
