Tarrion Alexander Riviere

Tarrion Alexander Riviere, age 30, a beloved Father, Husband, Son, Brother and Veteran, of Norfolk Virginia has passed away on 3 December, 2018. Tarrion was born and survived by his Mother, Gisela Acosta and Juan Riviere on 7 November, 1988.  He was also, survived by his two children, Tristan age 6 and Abel age 2, wife Anita Zyskowski and four brothers, Jimmy Deloatch, Trevor Ardila, John Riviere and Ralph Riviere.

 April 2009, Tarrion made his family proud by enlisting into the U.S. Navy.  Upon completion of Recruit Training in Great Lakes, IL he attended Aviation Ordnance “A” School in Pensacola FL. Tarrion’s first operational assignment was on the USS Harry S. Truman until September of 2014.  During his time on the Truman, Tarrion completed 2 deployments in the Persian Gulf and qualified as both Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist. Joyfully, he also became a father to his first born Tristan Alexander Riviere on December 2011.

 On September 2014, Tarrion completed Strike Fighter school at CNATTU Oceania in Virginia Beach, VA.  He was then transferred to Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 101 in San Diego California. While being temporarily detached to Marine Aviation Logistics 11 in California, he has been awarded Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal on June 2017.  Also, During his time in San Diego CA, Tarrion had Abel Aristotle Riviere on May of 2016 with his wife Anita Zyskowski. Along with the arrival of Abel, Tarrion was notified he had been advanced to Petty Officer Second Class.

 Tarrion’s last stop in his Naval career was at Navy Munition Command on Norfolk Naval Base.  He has earned the qualification of ordnance Quality Assurance Safety Observer, responsible for overseeing all explosive issuing and sentencing valuing at $178,000,000.  Making me him a vital player at his command.

 His awards and decorations include the Navy and Marine Corp Achievement medal, Good Conduct Medal (three awards), Navy Battle E, National Defense, Global War on Terrorism-Expeditionary, Global War on Terrorism-Service, Navy Sea Service Medal (two awards), and Expert in 9mm pistol.

    Rivi I’m going to miss you. You were a big brother to me. I remember the Truman days where you, berry, and myself use to just enjoy ourself and make one another laugh in our cube. I’m going to miss you brothe but I know you will be watching over all of us.

    He was one of the few people I guess I looked up to while having the opportunity to serve with. Even on the days when I couldn’t stand being around people every time he would talk it always end up in a funny conversation. He was quiet and loyal I was glad to call this man my friend.

    It is heartbreaking to me and still can’t believe that my godson is gone. Tarrion was also my son, it is very difficult for me to accept this, I know that he made peace with God and that he is in heaven because he was such a warm hearted person. May peace and acceptance reaches mom Gisela, father Juan and all his brothers. I know his children will remember him forever as a kind father.
