Tammy Michelle Shepherd, a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend, was granted her Angel wings on June 3rd, 2025. Tammy passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Norfolk, VA. June 17th, 1967, to the late Gloria Blow and Richard Shepherd, Sr.
Tammy received her education in Norfolk public schools and attended Job Corps at an early age. Tammy believed in the Lord, and she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a member of the New Beginning Worship Center of Norfolk, where she lifted up the Lord and served him. Tammy would always have a microphone in her hands, ready to sing to the glory of God each time she entered church.
Tammy had a love of fishing and crabbing. If there were a pier open, she would be there with her net and rod. She would share her catch with her family and friends. She had the opportunity to go to a professional football game in Washington, DC. She also rode on the Ferris wheel in Virginia Beach and took it off her bucket list. Tammy enjoyed life.
She was deeply loved and adored by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Blow, and father Richard Shepherd, Sr., two brothers, Keith Blow and Joseph Shepherd.
Tammy leaves to cherish her memory her special friend, Robbie Bynum; two sons, Donnell Shepherd and Michael Shepherd; three sisters, Cheryl Tropel Pamela Askew, and Anita Shepherd; one brother, Richard Shepherd, Jr. (Ethel); aunt, Inez Elliott; uncle, Milton Blow; two grandsons, Deshawn Shepherd and Damari Shepherd Bailey; and a host of loved ones, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Tammy’s warm dedication and love would be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
She leaves a legacy of kindness, faithfulness, and compassion that will continue to inspire all those she touched.
