To the family of Sylvia Sutton, I offer my sincerest condolences. I first met Ms. Sutton when I was a 19 year old NSU student tutoring for the Student Support Services program. She was a ray of sunshine–always motivating others, inspiring others, with a smile and laugh that would light up the world. Most recently, I returned to NSU as an employee and Ms. Sutton was my colleague in Student Affairs. She was still the same wonderful person. She will be missed for her love of our NSU students, for her love of fashion and hats (I remember her talking about modeling hats for the Famous), and for her spirit and love of others. She was a rainbow, a butterfly–just simply a JOY to all who had the privilege to know her.

Rest in peace my dear Sylvia.

You were the light of all who knew you and who you worked with. You smile and your sense of humor was heartwarming.
I will always remember our chats at the basketball games as well as your coaching. Plus you always remembered our birthdays and I was glad to receive her fine gifts.

We will truly miss you but God had better plan. Now you will be with Him spreading the word while wearing one of your beautiful “hats.”
