Stanley Dale Sparrow, Jr. (“Stan”)

Sunrise: March 16, 1973

Sunset: November 6, 2022

Stanley Dale Sparrow, Jr. (“Stan”), a beloved father, grandfather, son, grandson, brother, nephew and friend to many passed away unexpectedly on November 6, 2022.  He was 49 years old.

Stan was born on March 16, 1973 in Fort Dix, NJ to Stanley Dale Sparrow, Sr. and Pamela Denise Sparrow.  Stan was raised in the Hampton Roads, VA area and graduated from Tabb High School in Yorktown, VA.  Over the course of his life, Stan was enlisted in the U.S. Army (honorably discharged in 1992) and held various positions in the financial collections, administrative and service fields.  Stan was also an artist and a creative, and he pursued his passion for music and Hip Hop as a producer and lyricist.  Stan’s talent afforded him opportunities to work and collaborate with mainstream artists in the music industry in the 2000s, and he was a member of the group The Dirty Dozens.  He performed as and was affectionately known by his friends as “Hallah”.  Stan was also a deep thinker and intellectually curious.  He was well-read and studied in many areas. He wasn’t afraid to push the boundaries or test the status quo.  He sought answers to some of life’s hardest questions and was a student of life.  This knowledge largely informed his lifestyle, beliefs and interests, and made him quite the contender for anyone willing to debate with him.

Stan loved his adopted hometown of Philadelphia, PA and “Philly” loved him back.  Stan moved to Philadelphia in the mid 1990s and spent the majority of his adult life there.   He was an avid Eagles fan and proudly represented the culture, people and experiences of the city that embraced him.  Stan built lifetime relationships and friendships with many people in Philly who became like family.

In recent years, Stan detoured to the cities of Evans, GA, Charlotte, NC and Phoenix, AZ but returned to Philadelphia in April 2021.  He had a particular affinity for Phoenix and described it as peaceful and the best place for his health and wellbeing.   Before his passing, Stan was scheduled to return to Phoenix by the end of this November.

Stan was a jokester and natural comedian.  He was full of antics and was a big personality.  He could break out with a joke, impersonation or quote from a movie or sitcom at any moment.  The movie “LIFE” and “Good Times” were his usual picks, leaving the other person in tears from laughter.  Stan loved very hard and deeply those that he held close.   He was on his own journey of becoming the best version of himself and finding peace in his life.

Stan leaves to cherish his memory his parents Stanley D. Sparrow, Sr. (Linda), and Pamela D. Sparrow;  grandmother Deloris Riddick-Trevethan (Richard); his children Asia Sparrow, Shakira Mills, Rahassan Sparrow, and Micah Scott; his grandchildren Abigail Sparrow, Andrew Sparrow and Kennedi Gunn; his siblings Felicia Sparrow, Charles Sparrow, Shannon Little (Stephen), and Yvette West-Burke; 11 nieces and nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

I’ve never met Stanley aka Bishop in the physical but the first time I met Bishop on Clubhouse I knew he was someone honorable. Although a bunch of people on the app seemed to be stuck up no matter how many questions I back channeled Bishop he would always reply with his most honest answer. Honestly Bishop was the main reason why I would join any room, it would be because he was in there. If Bishop is in the room I know for sure it’s not a lousy conversation I know for sure it’s great Information being presented. Bishop was a Wise man, someone you could listen to all day and never get bored.
I’m trying not to be long winded because I’ll be just reiterating the same statements cause like I said I’ve never met Bishop but honestly being on the app with him for over 2yrs I believe, It feels like I did somewhat know him.
I’d like to send my condolences 💐 to all of his family and friends and I’m sorry you guys lost such a great person. Asé 𓋹

To the family and friends of Hallah I would like to say I am sadden and sorry for your lost. I would also like to send condolence on behalf of myself Michael (Musically known as Ras Danja also Nat Earner on clubhouse), the Lewis family and the Music Production team known as The Soundboy Killaz.
We would like to send Love, Light and Healing enegry to the family and friends of one the most influential, musical inclined, Producer, Emcee, Enlighten critical thinking, problem solving brother I have ever known.
I meet Hallah aka Stan in the late 90s making music in Hampton Virginia. I immediately recognized Hallah love for HipHop. He was above average skilled at beat boxing, emceeing and producing.
I’m around 10 years younger than Hallah so I look up to him as one of my big brothers. Through out the years we would make beats write rhymes record songs. I will remember Hallah Love for his love his Family and mines (my mother Loved him and thought he was well mannered and genuine) I will remember his passion to study, research, read, write, Learn and Teach. I will remember his love of creating music, his ability to make people laugh with a life of the party sense of humor. Musicly hallah work effort was like no other. When it comes to knowledge the conversations we had inspired me to question things, never just accept or just don’t believe everything I’m told, look beneath the surface, learn the origins to the words and theories some of us have been lead to Believe. I know because of Hallah I am aware of things I might not been that help me through life. I am Thankful and Give Thanks for all the knowledge and wisdom Hallah shared even some I didn’t understand at the time I am thankful for the Angel that help me see things from another Angle. One Love my Brother from another a mother!
