Shirley Mae White, born on July 14, 1940 in the city of Norfolk, VA, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 17, 2018. Shirley was affectionately known as “Aunt Shirley” or “Ms. Shirley.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy Harrison Lawrence and Rose Mae Lawrence; two brothers, Percy Lawrence and Charles Lawrence; two sisters, Dorothy Clemons and Hazel Lawrence.
Shirley enjoyed baking. She was known to make a mean pound cake. She greeted everyone with much love and a warm greeting. “Hi Baby.” she had nieces and nephews feel as if they were her only child or favorite.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories; her devoted son, Ricky Eugene Lawrence; one granddaughter, Sabrina White; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pinkie Lawrence and Evelyn Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
