Shirley L. Cousins

Mrs. Shirley L. Cousin, age 79, passed away peacefully on Monday August 6, 2018 at Leigh Memorial Hospital in Norfolk, Va.   She was born to the late Fred Everette and Mary Overton Everette on August 16, 1938, in Norfolk, Va.

Shirley Cousin was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and worked in the Norfolk Public School System for several years.  She was an active member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and participated on the J. W. Matthew Usher Board. She was also a member of the Huntersville Senior Club.

She is preceded in her death by her late husband, Arthur Cousin and three siblings, She is survived by two brothers and four sisters. Shirley is also survived by her four children, seven grandchildren, one Godchild and twenty-one great grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and beloved friends.

    Condolences to family and friends on the loss of your loved one. Keeping all uplifted in my thoughts and prayers for she will be missed. I have pictures from Sunday mornings at church with her and her amazing hats and remembering her beautiful smile. God has her in His arms and we will forever have her in our hearts.
