July 31, 2020 at 12:31 pmWow Sis, how ones perspective of life can change in an instant. I will miss your laughter, your humor, and your stories. But most importantly, your legacy will live on in my heart of the lessons you taught us all about caring for others, kindness, loving, and giving of self. I can still hear your voice so clearly, just as if you were right here. My heart is both heavy with sadness because of your transitioning, and filled with continuing Joy because I get to say You are my Sister whom I Love. To Thina Kevin and the rest of the Family, I know it’s hard right now but let the Love and Memories take root in your Heart and dwell in your Soul. Shirley, from your Baby Brother, Love You.

July 31, 2020 at 9:20 pmWhen my sister called me and told me of Shirley’s transitioning I was saddened. Memories of her on Granby and 33rd Street at her window. She and my sister Barbara Jean were friends for many years. Shirley was always kind, with a beautiful smile.
With my deepest sympathy to the family. Shirley will be missed. Dale Underdue

August 3, 2020 at 9:03 amMy condolences to Cathenia, Kevin, Yolanda, Sheena and all the family. Mrs. Shirley contributed to the woman I am today through the many hours I shared with her as a Wellington Oaks Cardinal cheerleader. She stressed the importance of hard work and dedication and I hold fast to that lesson today. Family, be strong in the Lord and know that even in this, He is still with you. He will continue to guide, strengthen and comfort you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
