Sheila Mae White

Mrs. Sheila “Ladybug”  Lucas White was born on November 22, 1954 in Norfolk County to the late Lemmon and Bertha Lucas.  Shelia was educated in Chesapeake Public School System.  In 1994, Shelia met Derrick White. It was love at first sight and they married on February 14, 1994.  They remained soulmate through twenty-six happy years of marriage.

Having a love for people and a heart to serve, Shelia pursued a career as a Medical Assistant.  Her place of employment was at Jensey Home Health Care.

Shelia loved her crossword puzzles book and playing cards, she enjoyed people, listening to music and dancing.  She adored music; you could always find her sitting on the porch rocking to the sound of music.  She loved her family and friends very much.  She was full of life.

In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lemmon Jr., her two sisters, Vivian and Menia, and a step-daughter, Angel Bazemore.  She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband, Derrick White, step-daughter, Nyshia Artis; three sisters, Sylvia White, Mildred Lucas and Patsy Edison; two brothers, Alfred Lucas and Thomas Lucas; one grandson; mother-in-law, Mary Thomas; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends.
