Sharon L. Butcher

Sunrise: June 24, 1957

Sunset: September 30, 2023

In the quiet embrace of Virginia Beach, a soul adorned with grace and tenderness departed from this earthly realm. Sharon Loiuse Riddick Butcher, a celestial presence among us, transcended to the ethereal plane on September 30, 2023, at the age of 66. Born on a midsummer’s day in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late William Riddick and Lu Ellen(Chandler) Riddick on June 24, 1957, she graced the world with her luminous spirit.

Sharon, a nurse of extraordinary compassion, dedicated over four decades of her life to the healing arts. Through her tireless efforts and unwavering perseverance, she ascended to the pinnacle of her profession, becoming not only a beacon of solace but also a visionary leader. As the CEO and Mastermind of multiple companies, her resolute spirit ignited a flame of inspiration within those she served and nurtured. Her legacy, an exquisite tapestry woven with love and care, shall endure for generations to come.

Yet, Sharon’s essence extended far beyond her illustrious career. She embodied the very essence of grace, kindness, and love, an ethereal being whose presence illuminated the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Like a pure angel walking among mortals, she bestowed warmth, tenderness, and solace upon the weary souls she encountered. Her gentle touch mended broken hearts, and her radiant smile brought a glimmer of hope even in the darkest of times.

In the embrace of family, Sharon found solace and joy. Her beloved husband, Garry Butcher, stood as her steadfast companion throughout life’s journey, their love an eternal flame that flickered with unwavering devotion. Three daughters, Shanell Riddick, Shanyetta Morgan, and Sharae Locker, were the embodiment of her love and legacy, carrying forward the torch of compassion and grace that she so fervently ignited. Within the embrace of their love, Sharon found her greatest joy.

And as the seasons turned, Sharon’s family grew, blossoming with the arrival of 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Each precious life, a testament to the love and nurturing she bestowed upon her lineage. In their laughter and innocent eyes, her spirit dances, forever etched in the tapestry of their lives.

As we gather to bid farewell to this celestial soul, let us remember Sharon Butcher not only for her remarkable accomplishments but also for the profound impact she had on our hearts. Her memory, like a delicate brushstroke on the canvas of our lives, shall forever inspire and guide us. In the depths of our sorrow, let us also find solace, knowing that her spirit now soars among the stars, a radiant beacon of love and serenity.
