Shannon S. Wallace

Sunrise: August 29, 1969

Sunset: January 8, 2021

Our beloved Shannon Sherice Wallace a frontline hero whom everyone knew as “Shannon Boo!” was called home to be with Jesus Christ our Lord and savior Friday, January 8, 2021 at Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth at 5:24am.

She was born August 29, 1969 in Norfolk, VA, the daughter of Katherine Marie Wallace and the late Army Veteran Oliver Wallace.

Shannon attended Norview High School in her earlier years and later on received her nursing degree from Pennsylvania State University; Penn State, which she loved, dearly where she attended on an academic scholarship. Shannon was such a kindhearted soul that would just light up any room she would walk into. She was also a woman of many many talents; she could sing, dance, act… you name it! She was definitely a natural born comedian but as she would say with the biggest brightest smile ever “Oh it’s just a Virgo thing”.

Shannon was a phenomenal and loving daughter, she was committed to her work and would be there in a skip hop and jump for anyone that called and needed her. Without hesitation or a second thought. She was an excellent godmother to ALL of her godchildren, no questions asked! She made things happen even when it seemed impossible.

She loved all her godchildren dearly, Lil Shawn, Kori, Kaiden, Shanti, Shamiya, Lynda, Tiffany, Tierra and Javon.

Shannon leaves to cherish her memories, her son Shaolin Curie Wallace; her daughter, Micah Katherine Wallace; her mother, Katherine Wallace and a host of other family members and friends.

May the Great God be pleased with you.
May the depths of our failed friendship, fighting to be good mother’s always be the glue. Even if I never see them again…
Love is Love and for many years you were that for me.

We fought to ensure their education, the mental and emotional growth…

You will always be remembered as a valued part of my family and my closet friend. Even in passing…

There will never be another Shannon-Boo!!!
